Yannick Weber, Mikko Lehtonen, and Dario Trutmann all will stick around until 2026.

"We had the best defense last year and we have also conceded the fewest goals so far this season", the ZSC Lions' team manager Sven Leuenberger states. "That is why we want to build on the tried and tested and retain these three strong defenders."

Of the three, Lehtonen has been with Zurich the shortest, only joining prior to last season. The Finn came from the KHL's SKA St. Petersburg. Weber was signed the year before that, after spending his career in North America up to that point. Trutmann has been around the longest, he joined in 2019 from Lausanne HC.
