The club determined that the defender has not fully recovered from a knee injury yet and will thus pursue other options.
Although the medical examinations Kristian Näkyvä underwent on Thursday were encouraging, HC Ajoie's medical staff concluded that the Finnish defender still needed two or three weeks to recover the full strength of his knee, which was injured last season. Näkyvä arrived in Porrentruy on Wednesday evening.
Team manager Julien Vauclair is therefore looking for other solutions to reinforce the roster in an attempt to conquer the first points of the season.
