National League

The defenseman will have a new place to call home in (most likely) the National League for the coming two seasons.

As HC Ajoie announces, they have signed Matthew Kellenberger. The defenseman is set to join them on a two-year deal from the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers coming summer. It will be his third station in the National League (barring a relegation scenario).

Toronto-born Kellenberger grew up in Canada and went to play hockey at Princeton University in New Jersey. In 2023, he joined EHC Kloten before moving to Rapperswil last August. Currently, the 27-year-old stands at 69 appearances in the National League.
