EV Zug has signed Nik Petrovic to his first professional contract. It will begin next summer and last until 2028. At the moment, the 19-year-old is still listed as an import, but by next season, he will be in possession of a Swiss player's licence.

"With his strong performances and leadership qualities in our junior teams, Nik has more than earned his first professional contract", team manager Reto Kläy notes.

Petrovic joined Zug's youth department in 2021 and has made his way up to the U21. Last season, he gathered his first experiences in men's hockey on loan with EHC Chur and with the Slovenian national team.
