Until 2026 - HC Lugano inks Niklas Schlegel to a three-year extension

HC Lugano's team manager Hnat Domenichelli is happy to have found an agreement with Niklas Schlegel, whose contract was set to expire in spring: "He is a very important element of our team and we want to have him with us for the long term."

This season, Schlegel suited up in 18 games for the Bianconeri, averaging a save percentage of 0.902. Initially a backup for Mikko Koskinen, recently Schlegel has received more ice time, helping the Bianconeri winning six of the last eight  games.
