The 31-year-old will suit up for the fourth, fifth, and sixth consecutive seasons with the Tigers for a total of eight years in the Emmental.

With the extension of Julian Schmutz, the SCL Tigers have kept around a key member of the squad: "Julian symbolizes everything that the SCL Tigers stand for: fighting spirit, identification, and team spirit. With his goal-scoring ability and commitment, he is an important part of our team,” states team manager Pascal Müller.

After two years in the Emmental, Schmutz left the Tigers for a two-year stint in Davos before returning to Langnau in 2023. Ever since his return to the Tigers, Schmutz appeared in 133 games, scoring 33 goals and collecting 42 assists.
