For December, Marco Maurer will play for the Bears while Julius Honka is joining the Grenats. Ville Pokka will stay in Bern until January.

First reported by "Blick" earlier today and confirmed by the clubs later on, SC Bern and Genève-Servette HC have decided to swap defensemen. With Julius Honka, the Grenats have found an import replacement for the injured Theodor Lennström, who will be out for the rest of the year.

As for Marco Maurer, he did not play a single minute last month and thus does not seem to be in head coach Jan Cadieux's plans anymore, "Blick" suggests.

In addition to Maurer, Bern has acquired the services of EHC Biel's Ville Pokka. In his case, the loan is until the end of January, plus there is an option for an extension until the end of the season.

The three defensemen should already be suiting up for their (temporarily) new teams tonight.
