The Swede is a likely candidate to replace Hans Kossmann behind the Bears' bench.

SC Bern does not yet have a coach for the next season.

Despite still being under contract with the Växjö Lakers for another two years, Sam Hallam could be joining SC Bern as their new head coach, Sport-Center writes. Taking over the Lakers in 2012, the 40-year-old has won two SHL titles and was awarded coach of the year twice in his tenure so far.

In Bern, he would be replacing Hans Kossmann, who took over the job from Kari Jalonen in late-January. Despite the coaching change, the Bears did not make the (canceled) playoffs.

Asked about the matter by Swedish newspaper Expressen, Hallam states that he is Växjö's coach, has a long-term contract with them and does not want to comment on any rumors. He also mentions that speculations about players and staff changes are part of the business during this part of the year.
