The single judge initiated proceedings against the head coach for violating the rule concerning abuse of officials.
Following on the request of National League director Denis Vaucher to investigate the issue, the single judge provisionally suspended Marc Crawford. The head coach of the ZSC Lions verbally abused one of the referees in the last seconds of Wednesday's game against EHC Biel by yelling homophobic slurs.
