The young goaltender agrees on a two-year deal with the ZSC Lions, serving as a backup as of next season.
"As Lukas Flüeler puts an end to his career at the end of this season, we have one vacant position. Jeffrey has earned himself this chance", ZSC Lions' team manager Sven Leuenberger is quoted in a press release.
Meier has been part of the GCK Lions' roster for four years now and played in a total of 40 games in the Swiss League. The 23-year-old goaltender will join the Lions' first team as of the upcoming season, his contract runs for two years until the 2023-24 season.
