As the SCL Tigers announced earlier today, they have signed Santtu Kinnunen to a one-year deal for the 2025-26 season. The defenseman is currently playing for the ZSC Lions, whom he joined last summer.

"With his skating ability and versatility, Kinnunen has the potential to play an important role with the SCL Tigers", Langnau's team manager Pascal Müller notes.

Kinnunen grew up playing in the Lahti Pelicans' organization and made his Liiga-debut with them in 2018. He later moved to Tappara Tampere, and then went overseas to join the AHL's Charlotte Checkers before returning to Europe to join Zurich

In 22 National League games so far, the 25-year-old has recorded three goals and three assists.
