Thomas Büsser had been in contact with Diego Piceci, team manager of EHC Wetzikon, for a while and decided that now was the time to join the team.
Büsser played for EHC Basel for the past five seasons. This season, he recorded four goals and 13 assists in 42 regular-season games for the Swiss League team.
