Similar to last season, EHC Biel will loan a few of their youngsters to EHC Olten. Forward Guillaume Kaser, and defenders Joel Kurt and Jonathan Moser, who all have already suited up in a certain number of games for EHC Olten last season, will probably spend the entire season with the Swiss League club.
Depending on whether Mark Sever manages to earn a spot in Biel's lineup, another junior might get the chance to play with the Mice, the same source reports. Forwards Livio Christen and Jamie Villard, who are part of the so-called Biel “taxi squad,” could also be seen wearing the Olten jersey on occasion.
On a side note, Patrick Obrist will wear the “C” on his jersey for EHC Olten in the coming season, replacing Florian Schmuckli, who retired at the end of the past season. Obrist was absent from practice due to an injury, while Luca De Nisco, Marco Cavalleri, and Gianluca Burger wore a red no-contact jersey.
