The 21-year-old forward agreed to a one-year contract with the Swiss League team, valid until the end of the 2025-26 season.

"David is a young, tall forward with great offensive qualities who can also make his mark physically," Kevin Schläpfer, team manager of EHC Basel, said about David Hamr, who earned his contract after a tryout.
Hamr last played in the North American Hockey League, suiting up for the Odessa Jackalopes. In 47 regular-season games, he recorded six goals and 26 assists.
