The 21-year-old defenseman will stay with the Swiss League team until the end of the 2026-27 season as he has agreed to a two-year contract extension.
GDT Bellinzona Snakes
Romain Montandon joined EHC Basel in early February from the GDT Bellinzona Snakes. The former captain of the Snakes was able to convince the coaching staff of his qualities and earned himself an early contract extension.
Montandon appeared in 45 regular-season games for the Bellinzona Snakes. In the playoffs, the defenseman recorded three assists in seven games for EHC Basel.
