It had already been clear that Devin Muller and Thomas Büsser would leave the team, but the departure of Nils Berger had not yet been announced.
Like Büsser, Berger will suit up for EHC Wetzikon next season. Diego Schwarzenbach will also leave the team, albeit for a different reason: the 35-year-old forward has decided to retire from professional hockey.
EHC Basel did, however, also have some good news for their fans: Lucas Bachofner has decided to stay in Basel. He has signed a two-year contract with the Swiss League team.
