Swiss League

The Swiss League team announced two roster changes today, which will impact the upcoming season.

HC Ajoie

Elvis Schläpfer is now fully under contract with EHC Basel. The 25-year-old, who was suiting up for HC Ajoie last season, already appeared in 43 games (19 points) for EHC Basel last season, albeit via B-license. His new contract is valid until 2029.

"His versatility, his physical presence, and his ability to perform in key game situations—especially at faceoffs —make him a key player for our team,” says Kevin Schläpfer, team manager EHC Basel

Another player will also stay with EHC Basel until 2029: Dario Kummer has extended his contract. The 31-year-old has been with the Swiss League team since 2023.

“Dario is a player we can count on in any situation. He reads the game exceptionally well, takes charge, and gives our team a lot of confidence with his experience and composure,” says Schläpfer. Kummer played in 39 games last season and recorded 33 points (eleven goals).
