EHC Olten announced that Gianluca Burger signed an extension, keeping him in Olten through the 2026-27 season.

The current contract of Gianluca Burger with EHC Olten would have ended after the ongoing season. "I feel very comfortable here in Olten and am very grateful to the club for its trust. I'm delighted to be wearing the green and white colors for another two years,” said the 25-year-old.
The defenseman joined Olten in 2023, and since then he played 52 games for EHCO, recording 14 points.
