EHC Olten part ways with team manager Thomas Roost

As is known, in the world of hockey, things can change quickly. Three months ago, Thomas Roost signed a contract extension valid until the end of the 2027-28. Now, the club has decided to relieve him of his duties as team manager, based on differing views on the role of team manager and the implementation of the sports strategy.

Since the past season, Roost also sits in the board of directors of EHC Olten. Whether he will keep his seat or not is an open question at the moment.

The ad-interim sports commission consists of Roost's former assistant, Florian Schmuckli, and the coaching team led by Christian Wohlwend, with support from the board of directors.
