"This season started well. Then I felt the coach had less confidence in me. So you don't give up, but your motivation takes a hit. Rather than working my ass off in the Swiss League, looking for contracts here and there, I decided it was better to concentrate on my studies and have a job I liked. I need stability," Gaëtan Jobin tells "La Liberté" about his decision.
Jobin is currently doing his "Matura" via distance learning. His exams will take place in August. After that, he wants to find an internship in an architecture firm and then study architecture in Fribourg.
Jobin is a product of HC Fribourg-Gottéron's organization and has been in their system until the end of the 2022-23 season. This season, he suited up for HCV Martigny, recording five goals and eight assists in 43 games.
