The board of directors "believes that it is appropriate to start a new cycle under the leadership of a new coach at the end of the current season." Matte will thus continue to coach the team until the end of the 2025-26 season.
Louis Matte is currently in his fourth season with HC La Chaux-de-Fonds. Under him, HCC has won the Swiss League title twice and the National Cup once.
