HC Thurgau signs GCK's Fabio Murer

Earlier today, HC Thurgau announced the signing of Fabio Murer. Currently still a member of the GCK Lions, the defenseman is joining his new Lions-team for the coming two years.

"We still see a lot of development potential in Fabio Murer to strengthen the HCT's defense, especially in offense and on the power play", Thurgau's team manager Patrick Brändli comments on the new addition.

Murer, 21, made his first steps in hockey within the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers' organization, but eventually moved to the GCK Lions for his last few junior years. In 2021, he suited up in the Swiss League for the first time. Last season, he became a regular on the Lions' roster.
