Joel Marchon wanted to try and earn himself a contract with EHC Olten, but he will have to look elsewhere, as he told the "Oltner Tagblatt" after the Mice's playoff out: "I wanted to showcase my skills and earn a new contract but I've just found out that it will not be happening. It is difficult to put the end of the season and the whole situation into words right now."
Thomas Roost, team manager, confirmed that Marchon will not be able to stay with the team. The 22-year-old forward is, however, not the only one that will have to leave the team: Éric Faille will also not be back.
The 35-year-old veteran forward was already informed at the beginning of the year. It remains to be seen whether he will continue his career. As the "Oltner Tagblatt" reports, he has an offer from Krefeld to play in the DEL2 but it is not yet clear whether or not he will accept the offer.
