According to "Le Matin", the forward and the Valaisan team have come to an oral agreement.
The newspaper cites several sources in the German part of Switzerland and sources in Canada. Whether he will actually end up playing for HC Sierre remains to be seen, though.
"Der Landbote" reported at the end of March that EHC Winterthur would not be able to keep Josh Lawrence for financial reasons. The 22-year-old forward played his first season in Switzerland. In 45 games for Winterthur, he recorded 30 goals and 22 assists.
