The Swiss League team has activated the option in the 23-year-old goaltender's contract. He will now stay until the end of the 2026-27 season.
EHC Visp
"Juho has fully earned the activation of his option for another season. In the first half of the season, he proved that he is an important part of our team. His steady improvement throughout the season is very encouraging [...]," Daniele Marghitola, team manager of EHC Visp, said.
Juho Markkanen is in his first season with the Swiss League team. He posted a .910 save percentage in the 36 regular-season games he played for Visp.
