Kevin Schläpfer's contract would automatically be extended at the end of the year

Unless Kevin Schläpfer is fired before then or he decides to take his hat, his deal will automatically be extended until 2028. The latter seems unlikely, as he tells Zaugg; "There will be no notice from my end."

There have been rumblings that Schläpfer might return to his former coaching job. However, while he tells Klaus Zaugg ("Watson") that he still has the energy to coach, he is also adamant that he is not looking to replace his head coach, Eric Himelfarb.
