As the ZSC Lions' team manager Sven Leuenberger confirms, they are in discussions with the coach of the Swiss U20 national team.
"Yes, it's true, we are in talks with Marco Bayer," Leuenberger tells Klaus Zaugg ("Watson"). "We want a Swiss coach again and Marco Bayer, with his long experience at various levels and his professional competence, fits our job profile." However, nothing has been signed yet.
The current coach of the Swiss U20 national team could thus follow in Michael Liniger's footsteps, who will leave the GCK Lions at the end of the season and become an assistant coach with EV Zug.
