New coach found - Thomas Rhodin takes over La Chaux-de-Fonds

HC La Chaux-de-Fonds has presented their new head coach. He is called Thomas Rhodin, and joins them from MoDo Hockey, where he spent the last season as an assistant coach in the HockeyAllsvenskan.

"Thomas has extensive experience as an international player", team manager Loïc Burkhalter states. "After retiring from the ice, he went on to develop skills at every level of the coaching staff. He is a wonderful person, known for his humility and dedication."

Before MoDo, Rhodin was employed by Färjestadt BK in several functions. He was an assistant coach of the main squad for a few years, he worked as General Manager, and he coached in their junior department.

"I am very happy and proud to join a historic club like HC La Chaux-de-Fonds", Rhodin himself comments. "I have heard great things from the fans, and I am looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere at Les Mélèzes."

As a player, the Swede spent some time in Switzerland, suiting up for HC Fribourg-Gottéron from 2003 to 2005.
