The Swede will no longer be part of the Lions after one season of wearing their green colors.
HC Thurgau
HC Thurgau has announced the departure of Victor Backman. He had joined them last summer from a different set of Lions (the GCK ones). Over this past season, the forward suited up 40 times for the Swiss League squad, recording 14 goals and 24 assists. Whether the 34-year-old will stay in Switzerland and join another Lions-themed team is written in the stars.
