Swiss League

The SIHF and the Sports marketing agency Two Circles have analysed the Swiss League over the past months. The SIHF now provided an update on their results.

swisshockeynews.ch

The analysis showed that the Sky Swiss League needs greater planning security, more permeability, and stronger positioning. To achieve these goals, seven strategic solution scenarios were developed.

However, implementing these scenarios will require the cooperation of various parties, including the National League — a process which the SIHF calls "challenging" due to differing interests and priorities. However, the ultimate goal remains the same: "a strong, economically stable, and sustainably anchored Sky Swiss League as an integral part of Swiss ice hockey."

Seven strategic solution scenarios
  • Repositioning and rebranding of the Swiss League
  • Centralization of media production and strategic go-to-market
  • Extension of the schedule and direct promotion and relegation
  • Adjustment of the league structure
  • Fulfilling the mandate as Switzerland's talent factory
  • Regulation of finances at club level
  • Supporting permeability
