EHC Olten has announced the extension of Simon Sterchi's contract. Set to run out the coming spring, he will now instead stick around until 2027. He initially joined them during the 2021-22 season from HC La Chaux-de-Fonds.
"Simon Sterchi matches the core of key players we want to build a competitive and likable team around for the future, both as a player and as a person", Olten's new team manager Thomas Roost is cited. "His role model function and game flair will also positively influence young players."
As a member of the Mice, Sterchi has made 173 games, recording 50 goals and 82 assists.
