Some extensions, additions, departures for the GCK Lions

The GCK Lions have provided an update regarding their roster for the coming season.  Two of the changes are retirements. Xeno Büsser, son of ZSC-team doctor Gery, is hanging up his skates at 29, having spent all but one year of his career within the organization. Mattia Hinterkircher, also 29, is done with professional hockey, too.

In net, Robin Zumbühl has been promoted from the GCK to the ZSC Lions. Sascha Ruppelt has signed an extension until next summer, and Lorin Grüter is getting a one-year deal. The trio had split the starts the previous season.

On defense, Jan Schwendeler and Daniil Ustinkov have been added to the National League squad, while Yannick Blaser, Nauris Sejejs, and Dominic Buchli are staying on for the coming year. Christian Pinana joins from EHC Visp, Yann Vögeli from EHC Biel's youth department. In addition, junior Gian Morson has been awarded a deal for this season. The departure of Silvan Landolt to EHC Winterthur has already been known.

On offense, Joel Henry is officially part of the ZSC Lions. Robin Leone, Julian Mettler, Jan Neuenschwander, Jan Spring and Livio Truog have all received one-year extensions, with imports Jarno Kärki and Victor Backman sticking around for at least the coming season, too. Alessandro Segafredo is joining from their own youth department, Noah Greuter from Kloten's. Rodzers Bukarts spent last year with the WHL's Wenattchee Wild, but is now back with the Lions. Last but not least, Timotée Schaller is leaving, but has not found a new team yet.
