Swiss League

Nico Lehmann and Ruslan Shamsutdinov will both reinforce the Swiss League club the coming season.

EHC Winterthur has announced the signings of Nico Lehmann and Ruslan Shamsutdinov. The former joins from HC Thurgau, the latter from the VHL's AKM Tula Region.

Shamsutdinov, a Swiss-Russian dual citizen, spent most of his junior years in Switzerland, left for Russia in 2018, only to return a year later and play for EHC Kloten's U20. He then went back to his other home country again for some time. At least the coming season, the 22-year-old will suit up here again.

Nico Lehmann already made a few games for Winterthur earlier in his career, on loan from Kloten in 2021. Now, after a three-season stint with Thurgau, the 23-year-old is back, on an actual contract this time.
