Adler Mannheim is the fifth of a total of six teams confirmed for the 98th Spengler Cup. For this year’s DEL finalists, it will be their ninth appearance in the traditional Davos tournament. Mannheim last took part in the Spengler Cup in 2015, when they were knocked out in the intermediate round by KHL side Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg.

The sixth and final participant has yet to be confirmed, but is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
