Spengler Cup
The Swedish team will play their first game of the tournament tonight against Team Canada.
As some of their players are injured, Frölunda HC decided to hire two more forwards for the duration of the tournament. Victor Backman of the GCK Lions as well as Mike Künzle of EHC Biel have agreed to join them.
Backman has appeared in 26 games for GCK this season, recording eight goals and 20 assists. Künzle, for his part, put up two goals and one assist in eleven games.
