Spengler Cup

It is the first time since 2018 that a team from the DEL will participate in the traditional tournament.

"The invitation to the Spengler Cup is a great honour for our organization, including players, coaches, all employees and managers," Gaby Sennebogen, CEO of the Straubing Tigers, said. "It shows that the development of our club in recent years has also been recognized and appreciated at international level. We are proud of that."

With the announcement that the Straubing Tigers, who currently are third in the standings of the DEL, will join the Spengler Cup, four teams for this year's edition have been revelead: HC Davos, Team Canada, HC Fribourg-Gottéron, and the Straubing Tigers.
