According to the "Neue Zürcher Zeitung", Marc Lüthi is supposedly the preferred candidate of several National League clubs for the vacant position of president of the board of the Swiss Ice Hockey Federation. If elected, Lüthi would thus become the third president of Swiss Ice Hockey within three years.

The 64-year-old held various positions at SCB from 1998 to 2026, primarily serving as its CEO. During that time, he celebrated six National League titles with the Bears. He stepped down from his position at the end of April, sold his shares, and withdrew entirely from all SCB matters.
