Due to the limit to imports in the CHL, the QMJHL's Shawinigan Cataractes recently played Léo Braillard on waivers. The former junior of EHC Biel had joined them last November. Instead, they have taken on Maxim Barbashev.
As other teams in the QMJHL have passed over Braillard, he is now available to clubs in the two other leagues under the CHL umbrella, the WHL and the OHL, Radio-Canada's Jonathan Roberge writes on X (formerly known as Twitter).
According to "SwissHabs", Braillard will return to Switzerland if there are no interested teams.
