Davos' Guus Van der Kaaij to try his luck in Canada

Canadian forests and lakes instead of the mountains of Grisons - Guus Van der Kaaij will have quite a different scenery this coming season. The 18-year-old, just selected 39th overall in the CHL import draft, is headed overseas to play for the QMJHL's Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, as his Swiss club, HC Davos, informs.

Van der Kaaij made both his National League and his Swiss League (via B-licence with EHC Olten) debuts last season. He also participated in the U18 World Juniors with the Swiss national team.
