The 19-year-old defenseman is one of six players who were cut from the Washington Capitals' roster today.

Leon Muggli will thus start the season in the AHL with the Hershey Bears. The defenseman already suited up for them in two games last season. He did, however, spend the majority of last season in Switzerland, playing for EV Zug.
In 40 games for the National League team, he recorded five goals and six assists.
