Juho Lammikko will continue his career with the New Jersey Devils. While not being confirmed from the NHL organization's side just yet, the ZSC Lions have announced the Finn's departure and his destination. He signed a one-year, one-way deal with the Devils, valued at 800,000$, as PuckPedia notes.

"This departure was not planned, and as team manager, you are somewhat powerless in this agreement", Sven Leuenberger states. National League players can, despite still being under contract, sign with an overseas club until June 15 each summer. "But Juho has earned the chance to return to the NHL with his good performances for us, and I understand that he wants to seize it. I wish him the best of luck!"

The 29-year-old joined the Lions in 2022. In 176 games for them, he recorded 60 goals and 71 assists. New Jersey is not his first station in the NHL, he has previously played for the Florida Panthers and the Vancouver Canucks.

With Lammikko's departure, work is coming Leuenberger's way. "The ZSC Lions will now look for and sign a foreign replacement."
