The 31-year-old forward's contract with the Winnipeg Jet will expire at the end of his season and he will become an unrestricted free agent.
However, as sources have told the Winnipeg Sun, his agent, André Rufener, will be in Winnipeg next week. Supposedly, he will talk with the Jets about a potential contract extension.
Nino Niederreiter is currently in his first full season with the Jets. He was traded from the Nashville Predators last season. In eleven games, he has recorded five goals and four assists for the Jets.
