Swiss hockey wins another Olympic medal twelve years after its last, thanks once again to the women's team, which had already won bronze in Sochi in 2014. On that occasion, as today, they beat Sweden in a game that was decided by Alina Müller's game-winning goal.

After a scoreless first period, Sweden found the back of the net first with a precise shot from defender Mira Jungaker. Four minutes later, Sinja Leeman made it even with her first goal of the tournament. The Swiss then were able to hold the Swedes off the scoresheet in the third period, also thanks to the saves of goalie Andrea Brändli. With the game going to the 3-vs-3 overtime, it was once again Alina Müller, nicely assisted by Ivana Wey, who was the hero for Switzerland.
