Florence Schelling falls 75 votes short of making the IOC Athletes' Commission

Martin Fourcade (971 votes, former biathlete for France) and Frida Hansdotter (694 votes, former ski alpine racer for Sweden) are the new members of the IOC Athletes' Commission. 

"I am proud and disappointed at the same time. I was close to being elected," Florence Schelling tells Swiss Olympics. "However, I am proud that I participated in this election, that I was present here in Beijing. I learned a lot. It was my first experience of this kind. That is something that I will keep for the rest of my life."
