Olympic Games
The groups for the ice hockey part of the next Olympic Games are seeded by the 2023 IIHF men's world ranking.
The current plan for the group stage of the 2026 Olympic ice hockey tournament would see Switzerland play versus Canada, Sweden, and host Italy.
Finland, Germany, Czechia, and a country from the qualifying round form the second group, while the US, two yet-to-qualify nations, and Russia - depending on whether they would be allowed to participate - make up the third one.
