Alina Müller among the nominees for 2026 IIHF Female Player of the Year

The IHF Historical Committee took a vote and finalized a list of six players running for the 2026 IIHF Female Player of the Year award: Ann-Renée Desbiens (Canada), Laila Edwards (USA), Caroline Harvey (USA), Taylor Heise (USA), Alina Müller, and Marie-Philip Poulin (Canada).

To be eligible, players must have competed in at least one IIHF championship during the season as well as in a top-level domestic league. 

For Alina Müller, this is the second nomination, as she was already a finalist in 2024. In the Olympics, she scored the OT winner to win a bronze medal for the Swiss. In the PWHL, she was the top European scorer with 21 points in 30 games for the Boston Fleet.
