Women's Hockey

Alina Müller, Sinja Leemann, Saskia Maurer, and Lara Stalder (second nomination for her at the Awards) are the four players selected to run for the award.

Penultimate announcement of nominations for the Swiss Ice Hockey Awards (tomorrow it will be the turn of the National League playoff MVP, while the Most Popular Player will be announced directly during Swiss Ice Hockey Night on Thursday, July 31), this time for “Woman of the Year 2025”: four pillars of the women's national team have been nominated, namely Alina Müller, Sinja Leemann, Saskia Maurer, and Lara Stalder.

Alina Müller, a four-time winner of the award, collected 19 points in her second season with the Boston Fleet of the PWHL. At the World Championship, she put up three points in six games. For her part, Sinja Leemann recorded 48 points in 31 games with the ZSC Lions Frauen and also participated in the Worlds.

Goaltender Saskia Maurer, the only non-forward among the nominees, defended the cage of the SC Bern Frauen, contributing to the conquest of the Women's League's championship. At the Worlds, she averaged a .914 save percentage in three games. As for Lara Stalder, she collected 59 points in 28 league games, and she captained Switzerland at the Worlds, putting up two points.
