The Fribourg-Gottéron Ladies have acquired the services of Estelle Duvin. Joining from the Dragons' Zähringer rival, the SC Bern Frauen, Duvin has signed a one-year deal with her new club.
"With her game awareness, technical skills, speed on the ice, and individual talent, she will be a real asset to our team both on and off the ice", team manager Emanuel Jungo comments on his new forward. "Estelle Duvin will also play a key role in the development of our young players and bring greater stability and consistency to the team."
Throughout her time with Bern (and their previous iteration, EV Bomo Thun), Duvin suited up 136 times, recording 111 goals and 141 assists. Over that span, the 29-year-old also won one national championship, one cup title, and was named MVP twice.
"I am very excited to join the Fribourg-Gottéron Ladies", Duvin herself states. "It is a club with big ambitions that has been growing rapidly over the past few seasons. I am thrilled to be coming to a city where hockey is a religion."
Before coming to Switzerland, Duvin first played in her home country, spent five years in North America, and then suited up for Turku (Finland).
