Keiara Raitt is the third import of the ZSC Lions Frauen

“We chose Keiara because she has an outstanding mindset and a great deal of talent. She is physically strong, has scoring ability, and already possesses many of the qualities needed to be a key player," states team manager Christine Meier. 

As early as January, Raitt reflected on the possibility of playing in Europe in the upcoming season, but waited for the PWHL draft. She was not drafted by any team, and in just a few weeks, a deal with the Lions Frauen was drawn up.

Over the past two years, Raitt has also been part of the “Creating Coaches” program, an initiative that aims to pave the way for female players to move into coaching roles. Raitt was just one of nine players in the entire league selected for this program. “I love being a mentor, and I enjoy passing on my experience to young players and guiding them the way my coaches did for me along the way," states Raitt on her experience with this initiative.

This past season, Raitt scored 13 goals and collected six assists in 19 games with the University of Waterloo.
