The Bears did not open the scoring today, instead, Noemi Ryhner put EV Zug on the board in the 15th minute of play. While SC Bern tied the game up with a goal by Maija Otamo at the beginning of the second period, they again went into the period break with a one-goal deficit, as Annika Fazokas scored in the 40th minute of play, making it 2-1.

It looked like the two teams were headed to Game 4 of the series, but the Bears pulled goalie Saskia Maurer for the last minute of play. With one player more on the ice, Kaleigh Quennec scored one second before the end of the game, ensuring that the game would go to overtime. Estelle Duvin then recorded the game-winning goal in the 65th minute of play, securing the title for the Bears.
